Through Asana, physical posture work, we learn to work within and accept our limitations and explore our body's possibilities.
Through Pranayama (breath work) we invite the mind to become quieter, stilling the thoughts and making space within the ever-enquiring mind which seeks constant gratification and satisfaction through analysis and investigation.
From a quieter mind we can move into place of peace and meditation. Aware or not, you are a soul (the Self), a spiritual being, travelling in a physical body. happiness and joy are the true nature of the Self – its nature is pure being. Truth and happiness are not outside you, they are within you. Yoga helps us to become more in tune with that joy.
